KARACHI: Pakistan is set to host more than 800 technology executives, cybersecurity professionals and business decision-makers on September 12 at the World CIO 200 Summit & Awards 2026 – Pakistan Edition, alongside more than 100 senior Pakistani technology leaders based overseas.
The Karachi event is part of the World CIO 200 Roadshow 2026, a global leadership platform connecting technology and business leaders across more than 60 countries. The 2026 roadshow covers major technology markets in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and North America, with Pakistan among its destinations.
Powered by Global CIO Forum and organised in Pakistan by ITCN Asia, the summit will focus on enterprise technology, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital transformation, technology-driven business growth and organisational resilience.
The Pakistan edition is being held nationally for the fourth consecutive year, highlighting the country’s growing participation in regional technology and cybersecurity discussions.
Focus on AI, Cybersecurity and Digital Transformation
The summit will be inaugurated by Dr Erdal Ozkaya, President of the Global CISO Forum, and Zarrar Hasham Khan, Federal Secretary at the Ministry of IT and Telecom.
Discussions will examine the growing convergence between technology innovation and cyber resilience as Pakistan’s banking, telecommunications, public-sector and enterprise systems become increasingly dependent on digital infrastructure.
Participants will discuss responsible adoption of emerging technologies alongside cybersecurity, data protection, operational resilience and enterprise risk management.
The event will also explore the changing roles of CIOs, CISOs and other technology leaders in driving digital transformation and generating measurable business value from technology investments.
Syed Abdul Qadir, Executive Director at A.F. Ferguson & Co. (PwC Pakistan) and Global Advisor to the summit, said the event would provide an opportunity for Pakistani technology and cybersecurity leaders to engage with international peers and exchange global best practices.

More than 100 senior Pakistani technology executives working overseas are expected to participate in the Pakistan edition.
Organisers said their participation could strengthen links between Pakistan’s domestic technology ecosystem and international markets through knowledge exchange, investment perspectives, global practices and potential partnerships.
The summit comes as Pakistan’s technology ecosystem continues to develop across fintech, telecommunications, enterprise software, cybersecurity, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and digital services.
Karachi as Technology Leadership Hub
The event will also highlight Karachi’s role as a centre for enterprise technology and cybersecurity discussions in South Asia.
The city hosts major financial institutions, telecommunications companies, technology firms, startups and large enterprises, providing a broad ecosystem for discussions on digital business and innovation.
The World CIO Roadshow identifies and recognises technology leaders contributing to enterprise innovation and digital transformation across participating markets.
