Pakistan wins three gold medals at Global Powerlifting and Bodybuilding Championship in Dubai

DUBAI: Pakistan secured three gold medals at the Global Powerlifting and Bodybuilding Championship (GPBI) held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from February 7 to 9, with athletes delivering standout performances across multiple categories.

More than 200 competitors from around the world participated in the open-format event, which features powerlifting, bodybuilding and strongman contests and serves as a qualifier for upcoming international competitions, including the GPBI Championship in Canada.

Karachi’s 52-year-old Irfanullah won gold in the 55-year age category, while Lahore’s Gul Qadri clinched gold in the Masters category. In the Men’s Physique division, Talha secured another gold medal for Pakistan.

In the Classic Physique category, Faizan earned a silver medal, adding to Pakistan’s overall medal tally.

Former world bodybuilding champion Rameez Ibrahim supervised the competition and served as head judge during the championship.

The results mark another achievement for Pakistani athletes on the international bodybuilding stage, highlighting continued participation in global fitness and strength competitions.
