RAWALPINDI: Pakistan on Tuesday successfully test-launched an indigenously developed extended version of the Fatah-4 ground-launched cruise missile, validating upgraded systems designed to improve range, precision and survivability, the military’s media wing said.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, the extended-range Fatah-4 is equipped with advanced avionics and state-of-the-art navigation systems and is capable of engaging targets at longer distances with high precision.
The test also validated additional technical parameters of various sub-systems incorporated into the weapon to improve accuracy and enhance survivability.
Senior Pakistan Army officers, along with scientists and engineers from the developing agency, witnessed the launch.
ISPR said the successful test marked another step in the development of Pakistan’s indigenous precision-strike capabilities.
The President, Prime Minister, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, along with the services chiefs, congratulated the teams involved in the programme.
They praised the technical expertise, dedication and commitment of the scientists, engineers and personnel who contributed to the development and successful testing of the extended version of Fatah-4.
