TOKYO: Pakistan claimed the bronze medal at the Under-18 Hockey Asia Cup after defeating Malaysia 3-0 in the third-place playoff match in Japan.
The victory ensured a podium finish for Pakistan in the continental tournament and highlighted a strong performance from the national youth side. Malaysia were unable to score during the match as Pakistan maintained control throughout the contest.
Pakistan opened the scoring through Uzair Ahmed, giving the team an early advantage. Haider Aasam doubled the lead with a successful penalty stroke before Adeel added a third goal to seal the win.

The 3-0 result secured third place for Pakistan and earned the team the bronze medal in the competition.
Malaysia failed to find the net despite several opportunities, while Pakistan’s defense held firm to preserve a clean sheet.
