ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Tuesday said that Pakistan is a peace loving country, it is determined to protect its sovereignty and regional security.
In his message on the fifth anniversary of Operation Swift Retort, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the professionalism and determination of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
On 27 February 2019, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shot down two Indian aircraft that violated Pakistani airspace. One of the Indian pilots was captured by Pakistan but was later handed over as a gesture of peace.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan’s armed forces have demonstrated their operational superiority by falsifying Indian claims.
“No one should doubt that Pakistan is a peaceful country that was determined to protect its sovereignty as well as regional security,” he noted.
The prime minister reiterated the resolve that Pakistan would respond strongly to any aggression against it.
