Pakistan women’s cricket team captain Fatima Sana has said her side is ready for the highly anticipated India clash in the Women’s Asia Cup T20 2026, scheduled for September 5 in Dubai.
Speaking at a joint captains’ press conference ahead of the tournament, Fatima said Pakistan would focus on playing good cricket and enjoying the occasion. She noted that in T20 cricket, the team that performs better on the day has the advantage.
“We are ready for the match,” Fatima said, adding that the team would aim to put together a strong performance against India.
Fatima Sana Reflects on The Hundred Experience
Fatima also discussed her experience playing in The Hundred, describing it as a valuable opportunity to learn and develop as a cricketer.
She said representing Pakistan in the tournament was an honour and that she wanted her performances to help create more opportunities for Pakistani women cricketers to play in overseas leagues.
Women’s Asia Cup T20 Schedule
All 15 matches of the Women’s Asia Cup T20 2026 will be played at the Dubai International Stadium. The tournament will begin with the Thailand-Hong Kong match.
The first semi-final is scheduled for September 10, followed by the second semi-final on September 11. The final will be played in Dubai on September 13.
The tournament features eight teams: Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong and hosts the United Arab Emirates.
The tournament trophy was also unveiled in Dubai, with the captains of all eight participating teams attending the ceremony.
