The Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) officially confirmed Pakistan’s qualification in a formal letter sent to the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF). The team secured its place after delivering a strong performance and achieving a high final ranking at the Women’s Junior AHF Cup 2026.
AHF Confirms Pakistan’s Qualification
In a congratulatory letter, AHF President Fumio Ogura said Pakistan earned qualification for the Women’s Junior Asia Cup 2026 based on its impressive results in the Women’s Junior AHF Cup.
The qualification returns Pakistan to the Women’s Junior Asia Cup for the first time since 2012, ending a 14-year gap and providing the team with an opportunity to compete against Asia’s leading junior sides.
PHF Hails a Major Boost for Women’s Hockey
Officials of the Pakistan Hockey Federation congratulated the players, coaching staff, and team management on the achievement. The federation described the qualification as an important step in the revival of women’s hockey in Pakistan and expressed hope that the team’s success would encourage further development of the sport.
Pakistan’s return to the Women’s Junior Asia Cup is expected to provide valuable international experience for the country’s emerging players ahead of future regional and global competitions.
