KARACHI, June 22, 2026: Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Coast Guards seized a large narcotics consignment during a joint intelligence-based counter narcotics operation near Gwadar, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General Public Relations Pakistan Navy.
The operation was carried out near Pishukan, close to the Gwadar coastline, in coordination with the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre. Officials said 1,500 kilograms of hashish and 500 kilograms of ice were confiscated during the action.
According to Pakistan Navy, the seized narcotics were being transported through the Arabian Sea to international destinations. The consignment has an estimated value of around $215 million in the international market.
The seized items were handed over to Pakistan Coast Guards for further legal proceedings.
Pakistan Navy said the operation reflected effective coordination among maritime and law enforcement agencies in countering smuggling through sea routes.
The statement said the action also highlighted Pakistan Navy’s resolve to prevent the use of maritime routes for illicit activities.
