Pakistan Navy and Bangladesh Air Force chiefs hold talks on regional security in Islamabad

Islamabad, Jan 8 — Chief of Air Staff Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, met Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad to discuss defence cooperation and regional security.

The visiting dignitary was formally received upon arrival at Naval Headquarters. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on matters of mutual professional interest, the evolving regional security environment, and opportunities to strengthen bilateral defence collaboration. Admiral Ashraf highlighted Pakistan Navy’s commitment to maritime peace and stability through its ongoing initiatives.

Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan praised the professional standards of the Pakistan Navy and expressed his intention to deepen cooperation between the armed forces of Pakistan and Bangladesh. Both leaders agreed on the importance of expanding high-level exchanges and joint training exercises to build greater synergy.

The visit follows Admiral Naveed Ashraf’s trip to Dhaka in late 2025 and reflects the growing defence ties between the two countries.
