Pakistan Influencer Awards Officially Launched

Karachi, August 1: The Pakistan Influencer Awards (PIA) has officially been launched in Karachi, introducing a new platform designed to recognise digital creators for their influence, authenticity, and contribution to Pakistan’s rapidly growing creator economy.

Organisers said the initiative seeks to move beyond popularity-based recognition by evaluating creators through a transparent, research-backed framework that focuses on meaningful engagement, credibility, consistency, educational value, community impact, and cultural influence.

The awards are supported by an advisory board comprising professionals from media, communications, research, and the digital ecosystem. According to the organisers, the platform has been developed as an industry-led initiative to promote trust, accountability, and higher standards across Pakistan’s creator economy.

The launch event featured keynote discussions and panel conversations led by Talha Aslam, Chief Curator of the Pakistan Influencer Awards, along with advisory board members including Fouad Husain, CEO of Starcrest Communications, Hasan Rizvi, CEO of BBPR Pakistan, and Jerjees Seja, CEO of ARY Digital Network.

Other speakers included Faraz Bashir, Director of Data, Insights & Evaluation, Hassaan Azhar, Director of Partnerships & Growth, and Abdul Sattar Babar, CEO of Ipsos Pakistan, who outlined the awards’ research methodology, evaluation process, audit mechanisms, and commercial framework.

Speaking at the ceremony, Talha Aslam said the platform aims to establish meaningful benchmarks for Pakistan’s creator economy by promoting responsible influence, transparency, and credibility.

The event also featured the unveiling of the Pakistan Influencer Awards’ official brand identity and trophy, followed by a discussion with prominent digital creators Asad Memon, Bilal Munir, Junaid Akram, and Natasha Lakhani, moderated by Dino Ali.

Organisers said the Pakistan Influencer Awards aims to become more than a traditional awards programme by recognising creators who educate, inspire, build communities, and shape digital culture while contributing to the professional growth of Pakistan’s creator ecosystem.
