TOKYO — The Embassy of Pakistan in Tokyo hosted a tourism promotion event on March 14 in collaboration with Saiyu Travels to highlight Pakistan’s tourism potential and encourage travel links between Pakistan and Japan.
The event brought together travel professionals, tourism stakeholders and enthusiasts to learn about Pakistan’s natural landscapes, cultural heritage and historical sites. Organizers said the initiative aimed to introduce Japanese travelers to the country’s diverse tourism offerings and strengthen people-to-people connections through travel.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to Japan, Abdul Hameed, addressed participants and highlighted Pakistan’s scenic mountain ranges, cultural diversity and historic landmarks as key attractions for international visitors. He noted that the country offers a wide range of experiences, from adventure tourism to cultural exploration.
The ambassador also emphasized the importance of expanding tourism cooperation between Pakistan and Japan and encouraging cultural exchanges through travel.
Presentation highlights tourism potential
During the event, the embassy’s Press Counsellor delivered a presentation outlining Pakistan’s tourism destinations, including major mountain ranges, archaeological sites and opportunities for eco-tourism and adventure travel.
The presentation also highlighted Pakistan’s historical heritage, ancient civilizations and traditional cultural experiences that attract international tourists.
Participants included representatives from the travel industry and tourism-related organizations in Japan. According to the embassy, the event provided a platform to introduce Pakistan’s tourism sector to a wider audience and facilitate connections with travel professionals.
Officials said the participation of travel stakeholders reflected growing curiosity among Japanese travelers about visiting Pakistan’s scenic regions and cultural landmarks.
