ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly condemned reported drone attacks targeting the East-West Pipeline in Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh and Madinah areas, describing attacks on civilian infrastructure as highly reprehensible and a threat to regional peace and stability.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the attacks damaged the pipeline and injured some civilians. Pakistan said targeting civilian infrastructure violates international law and is contrary to Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Pakistan Reaffirms Support for Saudi Arabia
The Foreign Office said Pakistan was deeply concerned over the situation and firmly opposed such actions. It stressed that attacks on civilian facilities in Saudi Arabia pose a serious risk to peace, security and stability in the region.
Pakistan reaffirmed its continued support for Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, security and prosperity, while expressing full solidarity with the Saudi leadership, government and people.
Call for Regional Peace and Stability
The Foreign Office said Pakistan would continue its efforts to promote lasting peace and stability in the region.
Islamabad has previously emphasized the importance of peaceful approaches to regional challenges and reiterated its commitment to contributing to efforts aimed at maintaining regional security and stability.
