ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Champions have confirmed that the team will not be able to participate in the ongoing World Championship of Legends after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) declined to issue the required No-Objection Certificate (NOC).
According to Pakistan Champions owner Kamil Khan, the PCB has maintained its decision not to grant the team the necessary clearance to participate in the tournament.
Kamil Khan said he had formally requested the PCB to reconsider its decision and had remained engaged in discussions regarding the team’s participation.
However, the PCB ultimately retained its position, leaving Pakistan Champions out of the event.
“We respect the authority of the PCB and its decision,” Kamil Khan said, expressing disappointment that the team’s players would not get the opportunity to represent Pakistan Champions at an international event featuring cricket legends from around the world.
He also thanked the players and fans for their patience, understanding and continued support throughout the process.
The decision means Pakistan Champions will miss the ongoing edition of the World Championship of Legends.
