Pakistan Buys Most Expensive Gas for July 2026

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has purchased its most expensive spot liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo for July at $20.69 per million British thermal units (MMBtu), with delivery scheduled between July 21 and 22, according to sources at Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL).

The latest procurement follows the opening of bids by PLL on Thursday to secure LNG supplies for the July delivery window. The cargo will arrive between July 21 and 22, the sources said.

Pakistan LNG Limited received two bids from international suppliers for the spot cargo.

The lowest bid, $20.69 per MMBtu, was accepted, while the second bidder quoted $21.37 per MMBtu, according to PLL sources.
