Military leadership pays tribute to sacrifices of personnel and their families, reaffirms commitment to national security

 

Rawalpindi — Pakistan’s top military leadership on Saturday extended Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the nation, highlighting the values of unity, compassion, and sacrifice while reaffirming the armed forces’ commitment to defending the country.

 

In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu conveyed their best wishes to all Pakistanis on the occasion.

 

The military leadership noted that Eid-ul-Fitr reflects enduring values of unity, gratitude, and compassion, emphasizing that for the armed forces, the true spirit of the occasion lies in serving the nation, often while being away from their families.

 

“The true spirit of Eid for the Armed Forces of Pakistan lies in the honour of serving and defending the motherland to ensure peace and security,” the statement said.

 

The armed forces also paid tribute to the courage and sacrifices of military personnel deployed across the country, acknowledging their role in safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and stability.

 

Special recognition was given to the families of service members, whose continued support and resilience were described as vital to the nation’s defence.

 

The military leadership expressed hope that the occasion of Eid would bring peace, prosperity, and blessings to Pakistan and the wider Muslim Ummah.
