LAHORE, Tuesday, July 28, 2026: Packages Mall and inDrive have partnered to introduce designated pick-up points inside the shopping centre, allowing passengers and drivers using the ride-hailing platform to enter without paying the mall’s parking entry fee.
The initiative is aimed at making ride pickups easier, reducing waiting times and lowering additional costs for users, particularly during weekends and peak shopping hours.
Under the arrangement, inDrive passengers and drivers accessing the designated pick-up hotspots inside Packages Mall will be exempt from the entry fee that normally applies at the premises.
The partnership is expected to improve coordination between riders and drivers by providing clearly identified pickup locations within the mall, where traffic congestion and busy parking areas can often delay ride-hailing services.
Awais Saeed, Country Manager of inDrive Pakistan, said the agreement was part of the company’s efforts to simplify urban mobility and remove unnecessary costs for its users.
He said integrating ride-hailing services into busy commercial locations could help create a more convenient and user-friendly transport experience in Lahore.
The dedicated pickup points are also expected to reduce confusion over meeting locations, one of the most common issues faced by passengers and drivers at large shopping centres.
The move comes as ride-hailing companies increasingly seek partnerships with malls, airports and other high-traffic destinations to improve access and reduce delays.
inDrive operates ride-hailing, intercity transport, delivery and other mobility services across multiple markets. The company says its app has been downloaded more than 400 million times and is available in over 1,100 cities across 48 countries.
