ISLAMABAD, July 30, 2026: The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) hosted a National Workshop Balochistan delegation at the National Science and Technology Park (NSTP) in Islamabad on Thursday, offering participants an overview of Pakistan’s expanding technology, startup and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
The delegation included media professionals, social media activists, youth representatives, students and faculty members from Balochistan and other parts of the country.
NSTP Director Amer Sheikh briefed the visitors on the role of NUST and the technology park in promoting research, commercial innovation and collaboration between universities, businesses, government institutions and entrepreneurs.
He said NSTP was designed to help convert research and business ideas into market-ready products and services capable of supporting economic growth and addressing national development challenges.
During the visit, delegates toured several technology companies operating at NSTP, including LearnOBots, Orbit ED, Rapidev and Kodifly.
They met startup teams and reviewed how emerging technologies were being used in education, software development, digital services and other sectors.
The delegation also visited early-stage ventures supported through NSTP’s Hatch 8 incubation programme.
These included Spatia XR, Sync, WBrains, Edvay, ApnaFarm, Sylatics, Plateau Dynamics, ReCa, UstadApp and CubeX LMS.
The startups presented their work in areas including extended reality, education technology, agriculture, digital platforms and enterprise solutions.
The visit concluded with an interactive discussion on startup development, technology adoption and opportunities for young entrepreneurs from Balochistan and other regions.
NUST and NSTP said they remained focused on supporting entrepreneurial talent, expanding regional participation in the innovation economy and creating stronger links between research institutions and industry.
