The viral clips, originally taken from an interview recorded in 2025, sparked widespread discussion online after Ibrahim claimed that Deepika had proposed to him during the early years of her career. The remarks drew criticism from social media users, prompting the actor to respond publicly.

Actor Says Viral Clips Lack Context

In a statement shared on Instagram, Ibrahim said the circulating videos had been selectively edited, removing the broader context and respectful tone of the original interview.

He said he has always spoken respectfully about people who have been part of his life and does not hold negative feelings toward anyone.

During the original interview, Ibrahim also said that he and Deepika remained in occasional contact after their relationship ended.

According to him, they would sometimes congratulate each other on professional achievements, but communication eventually stopped after Deepika married actor Ranveer Singh.
