KARACHI: A video and images of veteran Pakistani television actor and playwright Muhammad Ahmed undergoing a cosmetic thread lift treatment have attracted attention on social media, prompting mixed reactions from fans and users.
Muhammad Ahmed is widely recognized for his acting and writing career in Pakistan’s television industry. He has appeared in numerous popular dramas, including Sabat, Ahad-e-Wafa, Kuch Ankahi, Sun Mere Dil, Aye Ishq-e-Junoon, Aulaad, Hum Tum, Jeevan, Mere Paas Tum Ho and Pardes.
He has also worked as a writer on well-known television projects, including Kuch Ankahi, Tum Se Kehna Tha and the Baraat series. He is currently appearing in the drama serial Doctor Bahu, while his performance in Maa has also received appreciation from viewers.
According to details shared about the procedure, Ahmed recently visited a cosmetic and aesthetics clinic for a thread lift, a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure intended to provide a lifting effect to facial tissues.
Before the procedure, the doctor reportedly assessed his face and marked areas where lifting was considered necessary. Local numbing was then used before the threads were placed.
Ahmed said he opted for the non-surgical procedure after discussing different options with the doctor. He described the experience as largely comfortable and said he felt relaxed throughout the treatment.
The actor also said he felt younger following the procedure and indicated that he may share details with his fans if he undergoes any further cosmetic treatment in the future.
The video has generated varied reactions online, with some users discussing cosmetic procedures and others arguing that natural ageing can carry its own beauty, dignity and character.
