The Islamabad High Court has granted protective bail to TikToker Mr Patlu and directed him to appear before the relevant court by November 10.

Chief Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar approved the protective bail during a hearing in Islamabad. Mr Patlu appeared before the court in a wheelchair, accompanied by his lawyer.

During the hearing, his counsel, Barrister Qasim Nawaz, told the court that a no-objection certificate (NOC) had been obtained for the mehndi event. He argued that maintaining law and order was the responsibility of the administration.

The lawyer also stated that Mr Patlu was not present at the venue when the incident occurred, as he was receiving treatment at a hospital.

He further expressed concerns that Mr Patlu could be targeted in an alleged encounter involving the Crime Control Department (CCD).

The court granted protective bail and instructed the TikToker to approach the relevant court by November 10.
