ISLAMABAD: During her visit to the United States, she organized a dinner reception for the US congressmen in honor of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. The reception was hosted by Congressman Henry Cuellar and Congressman Maxine Waters, Chair of the Committee on Financial Services. During the reception, issues of mutual interest and PAK-US bilateral relations were discussed. In addition, views on Pakistan’s economy and the IMF program were also replaced. Both sides emphasized the need to increase bilateral contacts to further promote Pakistan-US ties. The Home Secretary also invited members of Congress to visit Pakistan. Mohsin said that the Pakistani community plays an important role in various industries in the United States. He said that the services of overseas Pakistanis for improving the economic situation in Pakistan along with the American economy are commendable. Pakistani-American businessman Tahir Javed and Pakistani Ambassador to the US Rizwan Saeed Sheikh were also present on the occasion.
