Indian actor Mohanlal has apologized to fans after his scheduled live show in Sydney was postponed because of an unexpected delay in his Australian visa.
The Malayalam film star was due to perform at the Norwest Convention Centre in Sydney on August 8, alongside several other artists. However, he remained in Singapore after his Australian visa was not issued in time and was unable to travel to Sydney.
Mohanlal expressed regret over the postponement and apologized to fans who had been looking forward to the event. He said he was unsure how the situation had occurred and suggested it may have resulted from a clerical error.
The actor said he accepted responsibility for the situation and expressed disappointment that the show could not take place as scheduled.
The postponement affected the live event, which had been planned as a major appearance by the veteran Malayalam film actor for his Australian audience.
