Veteran actor says he ignored Hira Mani’s repeated apologies and now regrets allowing the misunderstanding to affect both their personal and professional relationship.

Veteran Pakistani actor, writer, and playwright Syed Mohammad Ahmed has publicly admitted that he made a “major mistake” by holding a years-long grudge against actress Hira Mani, saying he now deeply regrets his actions.

Speaking during a recent podcast, Mohammad Ahmed revealed that the disagreement began during the filming of a television drama. He said he became so upset that he refused to accept Hira Mani’s repeated apologies despite her sending him several messages seeking forgiveness.

The veteran actor said the dispute also affected their professional relationship. He disclosed that he even refused to appear in scenes with Hira Mani, citing the popular drama Mere Paas Tum Ho, in which she played his daughter. According to him, viewers may notice that the two do not share a single scene in the serial.

Mohammad Ahmed said a recent meeting with Hira Mani prompted him to rethink his stance. He recalled that Hira embraced him during the meeting and became emotional, making him realize that holding on to resentment for years and refusing to communicate had been the wrong decision.

He further acknowledged that he not only distanced himself from Hira Mani but also spoke negatively about her to others in the entertainment industry, something he now says he deeply regrets.

Calling himself “only human,” Mohammad Ahmed said he feels ashamed of his past behavior and openly accepts responsibility for his mistake.

The veteran actor noted that in previous interviews he had often referred to an unpleasant experience with a fellow actress without revealing her identity. He has now confirmed for the first time that the actress he had been referring to was Hira Mani.

His candid admission has been widely praised on social media, with many fans and members of the entertainment industry describing his public acknowledgment of wrongdoing as a gesture of humility and maturity.
