A modern sports complex will be constructed on around 280 kanals of land in Abbottabad, according to former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker and MPA Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani.

Speaking at a sports event attended by former DG Sports Tariq Mahmood, Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani said the provincial government is focusing on promoting youth engagement in sports and healthy activities. He distributed medals among players who delivered outstanding performances during the event.

He said that since the formation of the government, special emphasis has been placed on youth development in line with the vision of PTI founder Imran Khan, adding that practical steps have been taken to promote sports across the province.

Ghani announced that an MoU has been signed between Abbottabad University of Science and Technology and the Pakistan Sports Board for the establishment of an international-standard cricket stadium on university land.

He further said that construction work on modern gymnasiums for both men and women in Abbottabad will begin soon. He expressed confidence that these initiatives will help promote sports culture and provide better facilities for young athletes in the region.

The event was organised by the Hazara Division Kickboxing Association, where officials appreciated the participants and encouraged youth involvement in sports activities.
