ISLAMABAD, October 10, 2026: Pakistani actress Meera has reportedly been denied entry into Canada and deported after being stopped at the Niagara Falls border crossing while travelling from the United States to attend an event.
According to media reports citing sources, Meera, whose real name is Irtiza Rubab, was held at the Canadian border for several hours before authorities reportedly issued a deportation order.
Sources said the actress learned during an interview that she was subject to a ban on entering Canada.
The reported restriction is linked to an earlier visit to Calgary, where Meera performed on stage while promoting her film Psycho. According to the reports, she faced immigration restrictions because she did not have the required authorisation to perform on stage during that visit.
Meera may challenge the decision by filing an appeal with Canada’s Federal Court, according to the report. The latest claims have not been independently verified.
