RAWALPINDI: England head coach Brendon McCullum has said that defeating Pakistan in their home conditions is not easy, describing the hosts as a strong side with the advantage of playing on home soil.
Speaking at a press conference in Rawalpindi, McCullum said he was pleased to be back in Pakistan. He noted that he had visited the country several times in recent years and had always found it an excellent place to play cricket.
The England coach also praised the hospitality of the Pakistani people and the overall environment in the country.
McCullum said both Pakistan and Sri Lanka are strong opponents in the tri-nation series. He added that England would need to adopt an aggressive approach against Pakistan while also adapting to changing match situations.
He said Sri Lanka would likewise be difficult to beat in their home conditions.
According to McCullum, the responsibility of professional cricketers is to perform well in every situation and keep striving for victory.
