MARDAN: A meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance Jawad Ali has reviewed preparations for Independence Day celebrations in Mardan, with officials focusing on event arrangements, sanitation, security and administrative coordination.
The meeting was attended by regional and district officers concerned and examined preparations for various events planned for August 14, along with measures to ensure cleanliness, security and smooth management of the celebrations.
Jawad Ali directed all relevant departments to complete their preparations within the stipulated time and ensure effective coordination for the national day events.
Main Ceremony to Be Held at Pakhtunkhwa House
The main Independence Day ceremony in Mardan will be held at Pakhtunkhwa House Mardan and will be attended by the Deputy Commissioner Mardan.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner directed heads of all departments to ensure their participation in the main ceremony.
The Education Department was also instructed to make arrangements for students to present tableaus, national songs and other cultural and patriotic performances during the celebrations.
Special Cleanliness and Security Arrangements
Jawad Ali directed TMA Mardan and Water and Sanitation Services Mardan to ensure special cleanliness arrangements across the city.
The focus will include major roads, markets, government buildings and venues where Independence Day events are scheduled to take place.
He said Independence Day provides an opportunity to celebrate the country’s freedom while reaffirming commitments to national unity, solidarity, development and prosperity.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner directed all departments to finalise preparations through effective coordination and a unified strategy to ensure that Independence Day celebrations in Mardan are conducted peacefully, smoothly and in an organised manner.
