Mardan police solve triple murder case, arrest four suspects

MARDAN: Police have solved the high-profile triple murder case that took place in the upscale Sheikh Maltoon Town area of Mardan, arresting four suspects allegedly involved in the killings and recovering key evidence linked to the crime.

According to District Police Officer (DPO) Masood Ahmed, a special investigation team was formed immediately after the incident on the directives of senior police officials. The team worked under the supervision of SP Investigation Nisar Ahmed Khan and included SP City Division Maria Mustafa, DSP Sheikh Maltoon Circle Irshad Khan, and other investigators.

Speaking at a press conference, the DPO said the investigation team used modern forensic techniques, technical evidence, and professional investigative methods to trace the suspects within a short period.

Four suspects arrested, fifth at large

Police identified the arrested suspects as Imad, son of Pervez; Jawad, son of Umar Khan; Atif, son of Gulzar Muhammad; and Sinan, son of Zarshad.

According to investigators, the suspects were acquainted with the victims and had regularly visited their residence. Police said the suspects allegedly planned the crime after developing criminal intentions and later carried out the murders.

Authorities said the suspects allegedly robbed the victims of mobile phones and a vehicle before killing all three individuals.

Police teams are continuing efforts to arrest a fifth suspect, identified as Ashraf, son of Umar Khan, who remains at large.

Children recovered safely

During the incident, the suspects allegedly took two minor children from the house, identified as Iman, aged two, and Dua, aged three.

Police later recovered both children safely near Charsadda Chowk and reunited them with their family members.

Investigators have also recovered the victims’ stolen vehicle and two pistols believed to have been used in the killings.

Officials said further investigation is underway and additional details will be released as the inquiry progresses.
