MARDAN: Commissioner Mardan Division Nisar Ahmed has urged the revenue officers and officials to perform their duties honestly. Revenue officials are the custodians of the property of the government and common people, so they should perform their duties with full responsibility. He was addressing the Revenue Durbar held at the Commissioner’s office on Thursday. On this occasion, AC Development Ijaz Khan Jadoon, AC Revenue Mohammad Dawood Khan, all the Tehsildars SDCs in-charge of Mardan district and Patwaris, and a large number of people were also present.
Commissioner Mardan took cognizance of the grievances and problems of the people individually and issued orders to solve these problems after consulting the officials present on the spot. Most of the problems were related to errors in revenue records and inheritance issues. Nisar Ahmad directed the Tehsildars and other revenue officials to secure the government lands in their respective jurisdictions and ensure timely identification of illegal occupations and take them into government custody. He directed the revenue authorities to deal with the people who come to Patwar Khanas and other offices regarding their problems and not to harass anyone, otherwise, strict disciplinary action would be taken against the responsible officers and officials in case of complaint.
