Mardan Celebrates Independence Day with Patriotic Spirit

: Independence Day was celebrated across Mardan district with patriotic spirit, national unity and a renewed commitment to Pakistan’s development, prosperity, peace and stability.

The main ceremony was held at Pakhtunkhwa House Mardan, where Deputy Commissioner Mardan Wasif Rahman attended as chief guest.

Additional Deputy Commissioners Aidenwaz Sherani and Jawad Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Sher Zaman Dogar, officers and officials of the district administration, representatives of various government departments, students and their parents participated in the ceremony.

The national flag was hoisted during the ceremony, followed by a salute to the national flag.

Students presented Hamd, Naat, speeches, tableaux and national songs, showcasing their patriotic spirit and highlighting their love for the country.

Independence Day celebrations had also begun during the night of August 13 and 14, with people gathering at College Chowk in Mardan and Aman Chowk in Swabi, as well as at district and tehsil headquarters in Nowshera and Charsadda.

Young people waved national flags and expressed their commitment to using their abilities and energies for Pakistan’s development, prosperity and stability.

The day began with special prayers at mosques across the district for Pakistan’s progress, prosperity, peace, security and stability.

During Independence Day ceremonies, speakers paid tribute to the martyrs and founders of the Pakistan Movement and recalled the sacrifices made for the creation of the country.

They said Pakistan was the result of the historic struggle and immense sacrifices of previous generations and stressed the need to strengthen national unity, solidarity, tolerance and patriotism.

The speakers also called for greater opportunities for young people to participate in nation-building and contribute to Pakistan’s development.

The ceremonies concluded with a renewed commitment by citizens to fulfil their responsibilities with dedication and make national development, peace and prosperity a priority.
