LAHORE: A Lahore court has sent a man to jail on 14-day judicial remand in a case involving an alleged inquiry to an AI system about how to poison his father.
The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) produced the suspect before Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo after completing his three-day physical remand.
During the hearing, the court asked the investigating officer whether the suspect’s father had any objection to his son’s custody. The officer told the court that the father had no objection and that the suspect was his only son.
According to the investigating officer, the father said his son regularly conducts research on different subjects.
The NCCIA has registered a case against the suspect, and further legal proceedings are underway.
The court’s order concerns the suspect’s custody during the investigation and does not establish guilt.
