ISLAMABAD, November 8, 2026: Madinah-based Islamic scholar Maulana Dr. Ahmed Ali Siraj visited Madrassa Ma’had-ul-Dirasat-ul-Islamia in Islamabad and praised its educational system, which combines Quranic studies with formal schooling.

Dr. Siraj, who serves as World Secretary General of the International Khatm-e-Nubuwwat Movement, visited the institution at Jamia Masjid Al-Munir, F-6/3, Main Margalla Road, on November 6.

During the visit, he led Friday congregational prayers and delivered the Friday sermon, attended by students, religious scholars, government officials and other guests.

Maulana Asadullah Abbasi, Mohtamim and Khatib of the madrassa, welcomed the visiting scholar and briefed him on the institution’s academic programmes, teaching methods and administrative activities.

Advocate Shakeel of the High Court and several senior government officials were also present.

Scholar reviews Quranic and formal education programmes

During a meeting with students, Dr. Siraj reviewed their educational activities and offered guidance on religious learning and academic development.

The madrassa administration informed him that the institution follows an integrated education model, allowing students to pursue Hifz-ul-Quran, or memorisation of the Holy Quran, alongside religious studies and mainstream school education.

Under the programme, students continue their formal academic studies while receiving religious instruction, enabling them to prepare for secondary-level examinations, including Classes 9 and 10.

Dr. Siraj appreciated the institution’s efforts to combine traditional Islamic education with contemporary academic learning.

He particularly commended the approach of equipping students with knowledge of the Holy Quran and Sunnah while helping them develop the academic skills required for further education.

The scholar also encouraged students to remain committed to their studies and make effective use of the educational opportunities available to them.

Madrassa administration welcomes visit

Maulana Asadullah Abbasi described the visit as an honour for the institution and thanked Dr. Siraj for meeting students and reviewing its educational activities.

He said the interaction provided students with an opportunity to receive guidance and encouragement from a visiting Islamic scholar.

The gathering concluded with Dr. Siraj extending his best wishes to the madrassa administration, teachers and students.

Maulana Abbasi thanked the scholar and his accompanying delegation for their visit.
