ISLAMABAD: The 2nd Made in Pakistan Exhibition & Business Investment Conference will be held in Colombo from December 23 to 27, 2026, with Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Sri Lanka assuring full diplomatic and administrative support for the event.
The announcement came during a meeting in Colombo between Khurshid Barlas, Chairman of the Pakistan Association of Exhibition Industry (PAII), and Maj Gen (R) Dr. Nayyar Naseer, High Commissioner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka.
Khurshid Barlas briefed the High Commissioner on exhibitions organized by the association in Pakistan and abroad, including recent events in Jeddah, the United Kingdom, Bahrain and Bangladesh.
He said the 2nd Made in Pakistan Exhibition & Business Investment Conference will take place at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo.
The exhibition will feature Pakistani companies and products from a wide range of sectors, including textiles, fashion, fabrics, food products, marble, glassware, electrical appliances, kitchenware, household goods, footwear, furniture, gems and jewelry, sports goods, handicrafts, tourism, hospitality, machinery, equipment, paints and HVACR.
Barlas said the event is aimed at creating new trade opportunities between Pakistan and Sri Lanka while increasing the visibility of Pakistani products in international markets.
High Commissioner Maj Gen (R) Dr. Nayyar Naseer welcomed the initiative and assured the organizers of full support from the High Commission of Pakistan.
He said greater opportunities exist to expand bilateral trade between Pakistan and Sri Lanka and stressed the need to identify product categories where Pakistani goods could gain stronger access to the Sri Lankan market.
The High Commissioner also highlighted Sri Lanka’s investment environment, pointing to its foreign investment framework, government policies, strategic location and skilled workforce as factors that could support greater business engagement.
During the meeting, Barlas presented the High Commissioner with an official invitation to attend the 2nd Made in Pakistan Exhibition & Business Investment Conference.
The organizers expect the event to serve as a platform for business networking, investment discussions and promotion of Pakistani products across multiple sectors.
