Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices have been reduced significantly in Pakistan following a fresh notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) for July, bringing relief to domestic consumers across the country.
According to OGRA, the LPG price cut in Pakistan includes a reduction of Rs67.33 per kilogram, bringing the new rate down from Rs308.76 to Rs241.43. The revision comes amid fluctuations in global petroleum markets and recent adjustments in fuel pricing.
The regulatory authority also confirmed a sharp decrease in the price of domestic LPG cylinders. The cost of an 11.8-kilogram household cylinder has been reduced by Rs794.50, bringing the new price down from Rs3,643.41 to Rs2,848.91.
Officials said the revised prices take effect immediately under the July pricing schedule. The development follows broader volatility in international energy markets, where crude oil prices have shown mixed trends across different regions.
Market observers note that ongoing changes in global oil prices may continue to influence domestic fuel costs in Pakistan, depending on government decisions in upcoming price reviews.
