Linseed Laddus

Linseed laddus is a delicious sweet recipe which can also be prepared at home. You can enjoy linseed laddus and here are the ingredients needed and method to prepare them.

Raw wheat                              ½ kg

Linseed                                    ½ kg

Desi ghee                                 3 tablespoons

Glue                                         100 gram

Sugar (Jaggery)                       3 tablespoons

Four types of nuts                            100 grams

Almonds                                  100 grams

Pistachios                                100 grams

Small green cardamom            10 pieces

Colour (optional)                    ¼ teaspoon

Method to Prepare:                                               

  1. First, fry the glue so that it swells.
  2. Then lightly fry the raw wheat and linseed separately and make sure that it does not burn.
  3. Now mix both and grind them in a grinder.
  4. Then put this mixture in a pan and fry it further in ghee.
  5. Now grind the glue and add it to mixture.
  6. Make a syrup of sugar or jaggery and add four nuts, almonds, pistachios, cardamom and colour (as required) to it.
  7. Stir it well and then add linseed wheat and glue to it and mix.

After mixing everything well, when it looks uniform, remove it from the stove and leave it to cool. Later, make laddu-shaped balls of it and store it in an airtight jar.
