A 14-year-old boy who went missing from Lahore after becoming distressed over failing his exams has been safely recovered in Karachi and reunited with his parents, police said.
According to a spokesperson for Karachi’s District South Police, the teenager had left his home in Lahore and travelled to Karachi after becoming upset over his examination results.
The boy’s parents had reported him missing in Lahore and registered a case with the police.
Following the report, Artillery Maidan police in Karachi launched efforts to locate the teenager. Police eventually traced him and recovered him safely.
After completing the necessary legal procedures, the boy was handed over to his parents, who had travelled from Lahore to Karachi.
The family expressed relief over their son’s safe recovery and thanked District South Police Karachi, SP South Mazhar Ali and Artillery Maidan SHO Kamran Ashar for their assistance.
District South Police said it continues to carry out its responsibilities to protect the lives and property of citizens.
