LAHORE: Police in Lahore have arrested a suspect accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl after allegedly luring her with the promise of a higher-paying job.
According to Model Town SP Asad Ali, the girl worked at a house in Bahar Colony. Police said the suspect, identified as Owais, allegedly persuaded her to accept a better-paying job and took her to a house at an undisclosed location.
Police further alleged that the suspect gave the girl a sedative before sexually assaulting her. He also allegedly recorded an intimate video and subsequently used it to blackmail her.
A case has been registered against the suspect, who has been handed over to the Gender Cell for further investigation. SP Asad Ali said action would be taken against those involved in exploiting women and girls.
