NOWSHERA: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Minister Syed Fakhar Jehan has announced financial compensation and full educational support for the children of Excise Police Officer Sajjad-ul-Islam, who was martyred in a recent incident in Kohat.
The minister visited the officer’s family in Khweshgi, Nowshera, on Friday and offered condolences to his father and children. Parliamentary Secretary for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Zar Alam Khan accompanied him.
Fakhar Jehan paid tribute to Sajjad-ul-Islam, saying the officer had sacrificed his life while performing his official duties and serving the country.
He said the provincial government would provide all compensation and financial benefits available under the Shaheed Package.
The government would also bear the complete educational expenses of the martyr’s children to help secure their future, he added.
During the visit, the minister prayed for the departed soul and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
He assured the family that the provincial government would continue to support them and protect their dignity and welfare.
“The nation salutes the sacrifice of Shaheed Sajjad-ul-Islam and stands with his family during this difficult time,” the minister said.
The visit followed the officer’s martyrdom in Kohat, where he lost his life in the line of duty.
