RAWALPINDI: General Syed Aamer Raza was presented with a Guard of Honour on Monday after assuming charge of the National Strategic Command, the Inter-Services Public Relations said.

During the ceremony, General Raza laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered Fateha to pay tribute to the country’s fallen soldiers.
He later called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
Field Marshal Munir congratulated General Raza on assuming command of the National Strategic Command, according to the ISPR statement.
The Guard of Honour followed General Raza’s appointment and formal takeover of the National Strategic Command.
