PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Small Industries Development Board has decided to keep the issue of property tax on small industrial estates pending until the provincial Cabinet Committee reaches a final decision.
The matter was discussed at a coordination meeting chaired by the Managing Director of KP-SIDB, with officials from the Excise and Taxation Department, senior SIDB management and representatives of the Industrialists Association Peshawar in attendance.
Participants reviewed the property tax imposed by the Excise and Taxation Department on various small industrial estates operating under the administrative control of KP-SIDB.
During the meeting, officials were informed that the issue is currently under consideration before the Cabinet Committee.
It was therefore decided that no further action would be taken on the matter until the committee issues its final decision.
KP-SIDB said it remained committed to facilitating industrialists and addressing issues affecting the sustainable growth and functioning of industrial estates across the province.
