PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has stopped recruitment in designated districts until further orders, affecting hiring processes at health institutions and offices across the areas covered by the directive.
The department has directed District Health Officers (DHOs) and Tehsil Headquarters hospitals to halt new recruitment. The restriction covers recruitment at all stages, including advertisements, tests, interviews, preparation of merit lists, appointments and joining.
Recruitment Processes Put on Hold
According to an official notification issued by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department, no recruitment process may be initiated, completed or taken forward until further instructions.
The directive requires officials to immediately stop ongoing recruitment activities, including cases where vacancies have already been advertised or candidates have been interviewed or shortlisted.
Appointments and Joining Also Barred
The notification also prohibits the issuance of appointment orders, allowing candidates to join or assigning them to posts during the period of the restriction.
The department has made it clear that officials will be held responsible if the orders are violated.
The notification did not specify a date for lifting the recruitment restriction and said the measures would remain in place until further orders.
