RAWALPINDI: Kingdom Valley organised a tape-ball cricket tournament at its Chakri site as part of its continuing programme of sports and recreational activities, with young players from different teams taking part in a series of competitive matches.
Former Pakistan cricketer and Kingdom Valley brand ambassador Abdul Razzaq, along with Kingdom Group Chairman Ghulam Hussain Shahid, attended the tournament and encouraged the participating players.
The event featured several closely contested matches, with young cricketers showcasing their batting, bowling and fielding skills before spectators at the Chakri site.
During the tournament, Abdul Razzaq and Ghulam Hussain Shahid met the players, praised their performances and highlighted the importance of creating more opportunities for young people to participate in healthy sporting activities.

Ghulam Hussain Shahid said encouraging the younger generation to take part in positive and healthy activities was essential.
He said sports help develop confidence, discipline and teamwork among young people, adding that Kingdom Valley was working to provide a positive environment for both youngsters and its clients through sports and recreational events at the Chakri site.
Abdul Razzaq praised the talent displayed by the participating players and said Pakistan had immense cricketing potential.
He said competitions organised at the local level could provide young cricketers with opportunities to demonstrate their abilities and progress further in the sport.
Players produced strong performances throughout the tournament, while cricket fans also showed keen interest in the matches.

At the conclusion of the event, trophies and prizes were distributed among teams and players who delivered notable performances during the tournament.
Kingdom Valley management said similar sports, recreational and other positive activities would continue to be organised at the Chakri site in the future.
According to the management, such events are aimed at providing young people with opportunities for healthy activities while also creating a more active and positive environment at the project site.
