Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Win PBCC Blind Cricket Super League After Thrilling Final Against Balochistan

ABBOTTABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa won the 9th PBCC T20 Blind Cricket Super League 2026 after defeating Balochistan in a thrilling final at APS School Cricket Ground, Abbottabad.

The six-day tournament was organized by the Pakistan Blind Cricket Council for the selection of Pakistan’s squad for the second Blind Cricket Asia Cup, with teams from all four provinces taking part in the event.

Batting first, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa posted 201 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Sana Khan Marwat played a key innings, scoring 45 runs off 22 balls, while Kamran Akhtar contributed 39 runs. Akmal, Hassan, Nasir and Irfan also added useful runs.

For Balochistan, Bashir Ahmed took two wickets, while Naimatullah claimed one.

Chasing 202, Balochistan fought hard through Mohammad Rashid, who scored a brilliant 105 off 60 balls, including 13 fours and two sixes. Naimatullah also contributed 37 runs, but Balochistan fell short in the tense chase as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa held their nerve to secure the title.

For Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Munir, Kamran Akhtar and Jin Khan took one wicket each.

Kamran Akhtar was declared player of the match for his all-round performance, while awards were also distributed among other top performers of the final.

Pakistan Blind Cricket Council Chairman Syed Sultan Shah, along with other officials, distributed prizes among the players and appreciated both teams for producing a competitive final.

The event concluded with praise for the players’ spirit, discipline and performance, as the tournament also served as an important platform for identifying talent ahead of the upcoming Blind Cricket Asia Cup.
