KARACHI: A food delivery rider was robbed at gunpoint near Safora Chowrangi in Karachi, with CCTV footage of the incident emerging.
According to police, the delivery rider, identified as Gulfam, reached Syed Village near Safora Chowrangi at around 4am to deliver a pizza. While he was waiting in a street for the customer, armed men riding a motorcycle approached him.
The suspects allegedly snatched Gulfam’s mobile phone and cash at gunpoint and also took a pizza from his delivery box.
The robbers also attempted to take the rider’s motorcycle. However, after Gulfam pleaded with them with folded hands, the suspects left the motorcycle and fled the scene.
CCTV footage shows the armed suspects allegedly carrying out the robbery against the delivery rider.
A case has been registered against unidentified armed suspects at the Malir Cantonment police station. Police have launched a search for those involved with the help of the CCTV footage.
