A Karachi judicial magistrate’s court has directed authorities to submit the final challan in the drug case against alleged drug dealer Anmol, also known as Pinki, after Muharram (Ashura), while reserving its decision on applications related to co-accused.

The Judicial Magistrate South issued the order during the hearing of two narcotics cases registered against Anmol alias Pinki, where Garden police failed to present the final challan on time.

Court proceedings and prosecution arguments

Special Prosecutor Abdul Rehman Thaim informed the court that two cases had been registered against Anmol Pinki and other accused in the Garden area. He said police had conducted a raid at her flat, recovering narcotics and weapons.

The court was further told that an interim challan had already been submitted last week, while four alleged facilitators of the accused had also been arrested. The prosecution requested additional time to complete the final challan.

The court accepted the request and granted time, directing police to submit the final challan after Ashura.

Decision reserved on co-accused applications

The court also reserved its judgment on applications seeking the removal of co-accused names from the case and requests for call detail records (CDR).

During the hearing, the prosecutor opposed the applications, arguing that names cannot be removed from the case at this stage and that such pleas should be made at the time of remand. He further stated that bail applications had already been rejected by the Sessions Court.

The court adjourned the hearing until June 27 and said it would announce its reserved decision on the next date.
