Indian singer Kanika Kapoor has announced her separation from her second husband, Gautam Hathiramani, after four years of marriage.
In a statement shared on her Instagram Story, the singer said the decision was made after careful consideration. She expressed gratitude for the time they had spent together and wished Gautam well.
Kanika also requested friends and family to respect their privacy during this difficult period.
The couple married on May 20, 2022, in a private ceremony in London. They had known each other for several years before getting married and reportedly remained in a relationship for around 15 years.
Kanika Kapoor’s Second Marriage
The singer had previously revealed that she proposed to Gautam twice — first in 2014 and again in 2020.
Her marriage to Gautam was her second. Kanika had earlier married businessman Raj Chandok in 1998, when she was 18. The couple had three children together.
Rise to Fame With ‘Baby Doll’
Kanika Kapoor rose to widespread fame in 2014 with the song Baby Doll from the Bollywood film Ragini MMS 2.
She went on to sing several other popular Bollywood tracks, including Desi Look and Da Da Dasse from the film Udta Punjab.
