Karachi: FM Commerce Jam Kamal said that he wants maximum participation of Pakistan in Osaka Expo 2025 to achieve desired goal of Pakistan.
The exhibition will be held in Japan from April 13 to October 13.
The minister earlier visited the Trade Development Organization of Pakistan (TDAP) and was briefed about the upcoming international exhibitions in Japan and Pakistan.
In a conversation with Minister Jam Kamal, Islamabad Director General Muhammad Nasser announced that Expo 2025 Osaka will be held in Japan from April 13 to October 13. 2025 in Osaka Umeshima, Japan.
He said that out of the three sub-themes of the exhibition, Pakistan has expressed interest in participating in “Connecting Lives and Empowering Lives”.
Nasser said that Pakistan has applied to participate in the exhibition and will soon receive the approval of the exhibitors.
He said a summary had also been prepared and sent to the ministry for approval.
Athar Hussain Khohar, General Manager, Horticulture and Export Company of Pakistan, TDAP Agro and Food Division, while talking to the Minister of Commerce, said that TDAP is scheduled to hold the second international food and agriculture exhibition on August 9-11, 2024 at the Karachi Exhibition Center.
He said that FoodAg is preparing to present the country’s food and agricultural products. He said, delegates from 55 countries were invited to participate in the exhibition.
He also sent rice, corn, etc. to the minister. informed about the expected increase in exports, he informed that Pakistan has the potential to capture the meat market in China.
