JS Bank Complaint Leads to FIR in PKR 100 Million Loan Default Case

Kotri Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against four partners of M/s Southland Flour Mill following a complaint by JS Bank Limited over an alleged default on banking facilities exceeding PKR 100 million and the suspected misappropriation of pledged wheat stock.

The case has been registered under Section 406 of the Pakistan Penal Code (Criminal Breach of Trust). Police have launched raids in multiple districts as part of the investigation into the alleged removal and sale of collateral without the bank’s authorization.

FIR Registered on JS Bank Complaint

According to police documents, JS Bank alleged that wheat pledged as security for the financing facility was removed and sold without the bank’s consent.

The bank stated that repeated inspections, written notices, and borrower undertakings failed to resolve the matter. It further claimed that subsequent inspections revealed significant shortages in the pledged wheat stock.

Police Launch Raids in Multiple Districts

Following approval from the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Jamshoro, police teams launched operations in Hyderabad, Dadu, and other areas to arrest the accused. The operation is being carried out with assistance from Hyderabad Police.

Investigators are reviewing banking documents, inspection reports, and stock verification records as part of the ongoing inquiry.

Four Partners Named in FIR

The FIR names the following partners of M/s Southland Flour Mill, each reportedly holding a 25% ownership stake in the business:

  • Daya Ram
  • Bhojo Mal
  • Shafi Muhammad
  • Shah Jehan

Police said the investigation remains ongoing, and further legal action will depend on the findings of the inquiry.

The allegations contained in the FIR represent claims made by the complainant. The case is under investigation, and no court has determined criminal liability.
