England captain Jos Buttler has moved ahead of India’s Virat Kohli on the all-time list of highest run scorers in T20 Internationals after producing a match-winning century against India in the fifth and final T20I.
The milestone came during England’s victory in Southampton, where Buttler’s explosive innings helped him climb to third place in the all-time T20I batting charts, underlining his status as one of the format’s leading players.
Buttler’s Century Sets New Milestone
Opening the batting at the Rose Bowl in Southampton, Buttler smashed 131 runs off 64 balls, striking 12 fours and eight sixes in a dominant display.
His innings took his career tally to 4,212 T20I runs, moving him ahead of Virat Kohli, who scored 4,188 runs in 125 T20 International matches.
T20I All-Time Run Scorers
Following Buttler’s latest achievement, the top three run scorers in T20 International cricket are:
- Babar Azam (Pakistan) – 4,596 runs
- Rohit Sharma (India) – 4,231 runs
- Jos Buttler (England) – 4,212 runs
The century also capped an outstanding performance by the England captain, who played a key role in his team’s success against India in the series finale.
