KHAIRPUR, SINDH: The Government of Japan has provided science laboratory equipment and furniture to Dawn Public Secondary School in Village Drib Mehar Shah, Khairpur District, Sindh, under its Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) programme.

The project, titled “The Project for the Provision of Science Laboratory Equipment of Dawn Public School in Khairpur,” is aimed at improving access to practical science education for students, particularly female students who previously had to travel to another school for laboratory lessons.

Science laboratory equipped with new facilities

Under the project, the school received two LED monitors, 44 pieces of science laboratory equipment and laboratory furniture.

The new facilities will allow students to conduct practical lessons in chemistry, physics and biology at their own school, reducing the need to travel elsewhere for science experiments and practical classes.

The project is expected to improve the accessibility and quality of science education and encourage students, particularly girls, to pursue further studies in science-related fields.

Japan continues grassroots support in Pakistan

A handover ceremony was held at Dawn Public Secondary School and attended by Consul General of Japan in Karachi HATTORI Masaru, school operator Sanaullah Ujan, teachers, students and other guests.

The Government of Japan said it has implemented more than 400 projects across Pakistan through the GGP programme, supporting human security and access to basic social services at the grassroots level.

Japan said the Khairpur project is intended to contribute to educational opportunities for future generations while further strengthening cooperation and friendship between Japan and Pakistan.
